Deleting your SpeakMore account does not cancel an active Ambassador subscription billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Cancel your subscription separately to avoid future charges.
- Google Play: Open Google Play Subscriptions, select SpeakMore, then cancel.
- Apple App Store: Open Apple App Store Subscriptions, select SpeakMore, then cancel.
Delete while signed in
If you can open SpeakMore, use in-app or web self-service for immediate deletion:

How to delete your account
You can delete your account using any of these methods:
- In the mobile app: Open Settings, scroll to Account, tap Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion is immediate.
- In the web app: Sign in at app.speakmore.org, open Settings, and use Delete Account. Deletion is immediate.
- Web request form: Submit the form below with your account email or Friend Code. We process requests within 30 days (typically 48 to 72 hours).
- Email: Send a deletion request from your account email to privacy@speakmore.org.

Submit your account email or Friend Code below. You do not need to install or open the SpeakMore app to use this form. We verify requests against account records before processing deletion.
Data deleted when your account is removed
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove personal data including:
- Account profile: display name, email address, password hash, passkey credentials, linked authentication providers, and profile images.
- Learning data: XP, levels, daily streaks, completed lessons, exercise attempt history, and spaced repetition memory scores.
- Social and gamification: friends lists, friend requests, friend challenge goals, and uploaded custom reward media.
- Device and telemetry: push notification tokens, device identifiers linked to your account, notification preferences, and active refresh tokens.
- User contributions: unpromoted or in-review translation proposals and localization review votes tied to your account.
- Third-party linkage: RevenueCat subscriber record associated with your account.
Data that may be retained
Some data may remain after account deletion for operational, legal, or community continuity reasons:
- Curriculum-approved contributions: translation proposals and voice recordings that were accepted and promoted into public courses may remain in courses without your name attached.
- Statutory and financial records: transaction and audit records retained only as required by applicable law or tax regulations.
- Operational security logs: ephemeral security and abuse logs retained up to 90 days on a routine rotation schedule and no longer linked to your identity after purge.

Frequently asked questions
Can I undo account deletion or recover my streak?
No. Account deletion is permanent. Your streak, XP, lesson history, and social connections cannot be restored after deletion is completed.
Does deleting my account stop Google Play or App Store charges?
No. You must cancel Ambassador or other subscriptions separately through Google Play Subscriptions or Apple App Store Subscriptions. Deleting your SpeakMore account does not stop billing.
What if I no longer have access to my registered email?
Submit your Friend Code using the web request form below. We verify ownership against account records before processing deletion.
What happens to my proposed translations and recordings?
Unpromoted or in-review contributions tied to your account are deleted. Curriculum-approved translations and voice recordings may remain in public courses without your name attached.
